What is Coaching?
Coaching is defined as partnering with clients in a thought-provoking and creative process that inspires you to maximize your potential.
In Coaching, the assumption is that you are already capable of generating your own solutions, while the Coach provides a supportive, discovery-based framework.
Coaching is not therapy, counseling or psychology. Coaching is mostly focused on bringing out your strengths, and moving towards a better future. It is a commitment to forward thinking and forward actions, and should not be mistaken for therapeutic intervention.
A Coach is more than a wise friend with good advice. You don't need another person telling you what you should be doing, and your Coach knows this too. And unlike a friendship, this relationship is unilateral, a Coach is exclusively focused on you & your goals.
Coaching is about knowing the right questions to ask and having the right tools and techniques to empower you to find those answers within yourself.
Coaches do not tell you what you need to do. They do not have the "right answers", but rather, help you to find the answers that are "right for you".
A Coach is your advocate, they want the best for you & from you, and will work with you to help you reach your goals and to succeed.
A Coach may push, pull & stretch you in ways that may feel uncomfortable, hold you accountable, challenge you to grow and do more than you think you can do.
A pregnant pause doesn't have to mean hope & joy are on pause as well. Coaching can help you find them once again.
